We had lived in our home in Pleasanton Valley for over 40 years when family circumstances made it necessary to move. For years I have been a “Lookie-Loo” at realtor open houses and felt the Venema family were skilled people who we could trust to get the job done right.

We had kept our house in good condition – roof, heating air conditioning, plumbing, etc., but were many years out-of-date cosmetically both indoors and outdoors. In preparation for the sale, we cleared out all our personal belongings and literally turned the house over to Liz and Steve, saying, “It’s in your hands now. Do whatever you need to do to get us the most bang for the buck.”

It was great that Steve Venema and his Vista Construction Co. could do all the contracting. They remodeled and updated our kitchen, dining, and family rooms into one large living area, removed the popcorn ceiling and old wallpaper, then textured and painted all. Outdoors they re-did the patio area, fixed up our large and neglected yard, and painted the exterior. They did such a beautiful job it was hard to believe it was the same home.

Through all stages of renovation and sale the Venemas communicated well by email, text, and Zoom, as well as in person.

The house was beautifully staged and presented at Venema team open houses, bringing in 8 excellent offers in 3 days. The Venema Team negotiations with other realtors were smooth and effective. The Venemas indeed got us “The Most Bang for our Buck” !!!
